Many delicious dishes. The curry and chicken katsu is my favorite. The service is friendly and attentive. Parking is a little difficult unless you valet. Your can also park across the street underground in the self parking to the east.

Family run business which makes you feel at home. Food is amazing and authentic Japanese fare. Tastes just like my grandma's cooking! Service is great. It can get packed so go a little early if you're aiming for lunch.

I absolutely love the food here. I have not found any udon place that tops it yet. It’s my go to comfort restaurant and is always fantastic. They do have long lines because the inside is small but it’s worth it for the food and the interior

restaurant was extremely popular, there was a bit of wait on a Friday night. valet parking. we had black fish w miso & tofu, chirashi, and stuffed lotus root. best dish has to be the fish. fish was well executed, even tofu was Great. the raw fish in chirashi was fresh, lotus root was also good. price is not cheap, but reasonable.

Just came back from Hawaii. I must admit Daichan has the best Hawaii Japanese American foods than hawaii. So fresh and they make their original sauces. The best #poki in LA. When I first discovered this place over 18 years ago, I was so so excited. I am originally from Tokyo - and no restaurant cooked Japanese "soul" foods like they did. They make their own sauce - and they care about water and ingredient qualities. Highly recommended to everyone who miss Japanese Okaasan cooking. #hawaiianJapanese #japaneseSoulFood
